Not buying 1v1 DLCs, sorry CA - Total War: Warhammer (2024)

My favorite races need more than 3 LLs (Vampire Counts, Ogre Kingdoms, Wood Elves, Bretonnia, Tomb Kings, Green Skins) this is why I will not support reducing scope of new releases.

Vampire Counts must add, at least, the next content:

Neferata, Zacharias, Gashnag + FLC Red Duke and Wallach (totally +5LL)

Ogre Kingdoms:

Golfa*gg, Braugh Slavelord, Ghark +LL named Gnoblar favorite general of Goldtooth, and any Ogress LL from rpg (total +5 LL)

Wood Elves, are far from finished:

Naiara The Prophetess, Araloth with his falcon, and a naiad LL + LL Ariel with Isabella/vlad system doing Orion/Ariel optional as single Lord as already lore says, and just one reigns at a time. (+4 total counting Ariel)

Bretonnia:

Tristan le Trobadour and his jester as Sisters of Twilight in just one unit LL, Malloubade, Bertand + flc Bohemond.(+4 total)

Tomb Kings:

Sehesmet, Apophas (most people prefer him as horde LL leading a theme of scarabs), and the only dwarf Tomb King LL +Tutankhanut or other higher requested name of TKs (total +4 LL)

As you can see I can't accept reducing scope of dlcs, and I will not endorse this path with my wallet. Fans want more content.

it actually increases the speed and polish of DLCs, if anything we need more DLCs and alongside free reworks or finetuning, plus more patches at a faster rate.

I see ok to pay 23 or 26€ for 3 LLs + 1FLC LL, but NOT ok to pay 13 or 16€ for just 2 LLs +1 flc lord

Quantity is as important as quality.

Fewer units would be unacceptable. The only less scope acceptable would be no RoC campaign or rework just 2 races max per DLC. The best would be to release mini CoC DLCs to finish every race, with 3 LLs + 1 FLC LL of one race or two races at a time. Example: 1 Cathay LL vs 2 OGRE Kingdom Lords + flc 1 Ogre Kingdom LL, it could finish ogres decently in just one row and just rework 2 races.

Doing two races, with one race getting the long stick of 3 LLs counting flc.

New DLC formula: 1v2 +flc 1 LL

Okay, I'll fix this for you:

Vampires: Neferata, Ushoran, Zacharias, Wallach + Red Duke FLC

Ogres: Ghark/Golgfa*g, Bragg LH + Ghark/Golgfa*g FLC (Ogres DO NOT need 5 LLs, 4 is enough)

Wood Elves: Araloth and Naieth as either FLCs or DLC/FLC combo. (Why the hell would we have a Naiad lord?)

Bretonnia: Bertrand/Bohemond + Drycha-style Mallobaude FLC (2 more, then done)

Tomb Kings: Sehenesmet, Apophas LH (what will it take people to realize that Apophas is impossible as LL? He can never find an equal soul and his TT rules AS A HERO forbid him from joining other units or commanding armies) + Tutankhanut FLC (why would we have a Dwarf Tomb King?)

Overall, 1v1 is a fine concept. The only two races who don't fit are Vampires and Greenskins, who need CoC-styles.

I'll say this much: I'm not buying 1v1 DLCs...for $18.

Don't think I didn't notice that the overall price for ToD was $27. And only drops to $23 if you buy all 3 Lords.

I wouldn't pay $27(or even $25) for a 1v1v1 DLC, so I won't spend $18 on a 1v1 DLC either.

So if the 2 LLs don't come with the option of being $9 each, or, like, $15 together, I'll be waiting for a sale on any 1v1 DLCs.

Warhammer 2 had lord packs with just 2 Legendary Lords, that's 1v1 DLC, and since CA said they are going to do less scope in next dlcs, some people assumed we will not have more dlcs like ToD with 3 Legendary lords+ free LL, with a total of 4 LL per release.

Do you prefer 3 LLs for three different races or 2 LLs for just two races? In my case, as I have been waiting for years for a lot of legendary lords, I am against reducing scope from 1v1v1 to 1v1.

I would even want more than 3, like Champions of Chaos DLC wich had 4 LLs +1 flc LL, this could finish some races with all missing lords.

I dunno the more content the better, but whatever works to keep faster pace of content cadence....
If a single lord also brings in new units for the faction, im good.
We could maybe get 2 LLs and some few units for 2 different factions, i would see that as a win

For reasons known only to CAEGA, after regional price changes, a single ToD DLC costs about $10.51 in my country. Considering all the cut corners, there is no chance that I will purchase it for that much money.

I generally agree races like Norsca and counts desrve larger dlc.

For others 1 v1 works.
